Faith in things other than God can be beneficial but not for salvation. For salvation 100 percent of our faith must be in God because He does 100% of the saving and we do 100% of the sinning. Faith in churches or mortal men or ceremonies or anything else anyone else or the work of anyone else for salvation is misplaced faith. 2 Peter 1:3 According as HIS DIVINE POWER hath given unto us ALL THINGS that pertain unto life and godliness, through the knowledge of him that hath called us to glory and virtue:
All things means 100%. There are many elements of salvation that only God can provide. One of those elements is His divine Power. John 3:16 For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth IN HIM should not perish, but have everlasting life.IN HIM is a very limiting phrase. John 1:12 But AS MANY AS RECEIVED HIM, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, even TO THEM THAT BELIEVE ON HIS NAME:
AS MANY AS RECEIVED HIM and TO THEM THAT BELIEVE ON HIS NAME are very limiting phrases. John 1:13 Which were born, not of blood, nor of the will of the flesh, NOR OF THE WILL OF MAN, BUT OF GOD. Romans 3:10 As it is written, There is none righteous, no, not one: 11 There is none that understandeth, there is none that seeketh after God. 12 They are all gone out of the way, they are together become unprofitable; there is none that doeth good, no, not one.
